The Best Home Office Environment: A Shopping List

Creating the perfect home office environment can be a challenge. There are so many things to consider!

  • What type of chair should you buy?
  • What type of desk?
  • How can you make sure that your space is both functional and stylish?

In this blog post, we will provide you with a shopping list for the perfect home office environment. We'll start with the basics, like a comfortable chair and a good desk, and then move on to more specialised items, like an ergonomic keyboard and a LED monitor. Let's get started!

Comfortable Chair: A comfortable chair is a must for any home office. You're going to be spending a lot of time sitting in it, after all! Look for a chair with good back support and adjustable height.

Good Desk: A desk is the centrepiece of any home office, so it's important to choose one that fits, if possible, with the option of a stand-up desk. This will help if you need to present, and you won't feel like you have been sitting down for hours on end.

Ergonomic Keyboard: An ergonomic keyboard is a great way to improve your posture while you work. Look for one that allows you to adjust the angle.

Foot stalls: To maintain a good posture, foot stalls under your desk help to keep your back straight. If you don't have one a large book or small box can do the trick.

LED monitor: Most offices have flat screens and allow you to adjust the blue light. Where possible buy a screen with a swivel attachment and with an HDMI attachment.

Decor: Make your office a place you want to go and work in, the word office doesn't sound exciting. This is your space, and you need to enjoy it, just be conscious of the type of art you might display.

Natural Light: It's important not to feel like you work in a cube, natural sunlight can help boost your serotonin levels and increase your productivity.

WIFI: This can be one of the last things to think of but be the first thing to family your remote office. If possible, install a WIFI booster box to help with low broadband signals, this will help for those Zoom or Teams calls.
