Expertise

Described as robust, firm, efficient, straight talking and practical. Adopts a commercial view as well as legal.

Daniel has  been a Mediator since 2011, he understands that most clients require a swift and cost efficient solution by taking a proactive approach and always considering alternative and sometimes unlikely solutions to achieve the right result.

Daniel does his own advocacy, especially in matrimonial matters. He says it is extremely important that a client, who has a relationship with his or her lawyer and who he or she has developed trust and confidence in, isn’t then suddenly introduced to a barrister to represent them at a Hearing. If such cases were not stressful enough for clients, he does not think it is right to expect clients to place their trust in someone whom they may not have met before and whom has not been fully engaged in the entire conduct of the matter. Naturally, doing his own advocacy also avoids a duplication of costs and so means lower fees for clients.

Speaks Spanish.

Experience Highlights

Daniel has acted in a successful class action for over 250 employees, seeking compensation for breach of contract and misrepresentation in relation to their pension benefits following a TUPE transfer.

Represented clients in several high value matrimonial financial claims with complicated domestic and foreign assets, including complex pension investments.

In-house Counsel for international IT firm – negotiating and drafting commercial contracts and litigating contract disputes.
