EXPERTISE

Having qualified in 2016, Naomi has developed a wealth of knowledge in the Private Client arena and prides herself in offering well-rounded advice to all of her clients. After attending Middlesex University and qualifying at the College of Law, Naomi has obtained a wealth of experience and expertise in all areas of Private Client practice. She has worked on a variety of estates and legal projects, ranging widely in terms of complexity and value.

In addition to the above qualifications, Naomi also holds the prestigious Practitioner of Trusts and Estates (TEP) qualification which develops a deep yet practical understanding of the law and procedures involved in trust and estate administration, tax planning and accounting and she is also a qualified Attorney at Law in New York.

Naomi prides herself on completing her files to the highest possible standard and this is valued by her clients and colleagues, who describe her as having deep reserves of determination, highly organised and maintaining excellent levels of communication with clients and stakeholders.

Naomi’s drive comes from supporting clients going through challenging periods in their lives, resolving complex challenges and helping and guiding clients to make the decisions needed. Naomi often finds her clients to be an inspiration and enjoys working with clients seeking to plan early, whether that be to leave a legacy, reduce their tax burden, share their family values or transform the lives of others.

Naomi has expertise in the following areas:

  • Handling complex HNW estates
  • Dealing with overseas assets and resealing Grants for international use;
  • Assisting and supporting the Contentious Probate Department with will analysis and the rules around intestacy;
  • Completing the probate and administration process (both taxable and non-taxable);
  • Providing Estate Planning and Tax Advice;
  • Advising on gifting and the tax consequence of gifting certain types of assets;
  • Drafting Wills and in doing so considering estate planning aspects;
  • Dealing with various aspects of existing Trusts and advising on the creation of new ones;
  • Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney, both Health and Welfare and Property and Financial Affairs;
  • Preparing and making applications for Deputyship Orders;
  • Registering Enduring Powers of Attorney;
  • Drafting Deeds of Trust, Deeds of Appointment and Deeds of Variation;
  • Dealing with overseas assets and resealing Grants for international use

 

EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Handling complex HNW estates including the management and eventual sale of a £20 million property portfolio.

Providing high level tax advice which has led to many clients paying little to no inheritance tax.
